WELCOME TO THE GET PLUGGED IN DATABASE!

PURPOSE: The purpose of this database is to allow users to record their "billed monthly" energy use in one or more locations, as well as the steps that have been taken to conserve energy. There is no better measure of the impact of our actions than to know what we used "before" and what we used "after" we began our energy conservation journey. We recommend that for each location you're tracking, you record at least 12 months of historical usage to create a "usage baseline", and then log in once a month to report your current usage and energy efficiency measures. Get Plugged In's underlying premise: What gets measured gets done!

ANONIMITY POLICY: Get Plugged In has a "No Faces/No Places Policy". That is to say, we do not need to know who you are, only what you use in energy. There is no name or location tracking, but a unique system of associating "locations" with your User ID. Your energy usage at a specific location remains anonymous.

COMMUNITY RESOURCE: Get Plugged In is a free community resource, providing households and businesses a way to work together towards a common purpose: reduce our energy use. Because many others will be using this site, you will not only be able to see the impact of your actions within your own household, but we will be able to see the impact we're making collectively as a group! Use this tool and if you like it, tell others about it. Let's get everybody plugged in!

REQUIREMENTS: Our only requirement is that you have a valid email account. That way, if you forget your login credentials, we have a way of getting that to you. When you create an account, Get Plugged In will send you a confirmation email. Your account will become "active" when you responded to our confirmation email. You will not be able to login until your account is active.

Beta Version 1 (V1 ): Right now we only have the ability to record data. We will soon be introducing Reports and Graphs capability.
